چکیده

A laboratory-scale pilot plant of moving bed biofilm reactor coupled with membrane bioreactor (MBBR-MBR) was studied regard to wastewater treatment in the textile industry, and reuse feasibility treated water investigated. The comprised two connected parts: an aerobic tank filled carriers a submerged tank. MBBR-MBR system reduced hydraulic retention time 1 day, which is very promising compared conventional biological industry. removal efficiency chemical oxygen demand reached 93%, almost maximum for process treating this type wastewater, as well colour performance, achieved 85%. Additionally, 99% total suspended solids were removed due filtration. Furthermore, new dyeing processes reusing performed. quality dyed fabrics reference fabrics. Colour differences between found be within general requirement industry (ΔECMC(2:1) < 1). beneficial both environment, because sector intensive consumer during finishing processes.

Tracking particle size distributions in a moving bed biofilm membrane reactor for treatment of municipal wastewater.

A study has been conducted to investigate the effect of loading rates on membrane fouling in a moving bed biofilm membrane reactor process for municipal wastewater treatment, especially analysing the fate of submicron colloidal particles and their influence on membrane fouling. Two operating conditions defined as low and high organic loading rates were tested where the development and fate of t...
